hi, i'm emily!
welcome to my little corner of the internet.
welcome to my little corner of the internet.

I'm a data engineer and data analyst based in Elgin, TX. I love building things that make data useful, whether that's a pipeline that runs itself or a dashboard that finally answers the question everyone kept asking. Outside of work I like tinkering with personal projects that let me expand my creativity!
I currently work at CITGO Petroleum in Houston, where I design and build ETL/ELT pipeline, automate workflows, and create self-service analytics tools that help teams make better decisions. I work across the full data stack — from ingesting raw data in Microsoft Fabric and Azure to building Power BI dashboards that non-technical stakeholders can actually use. I also built a weather ingestion pipeline that processes 75,000+ data points every single day for a daily forecast.
Orderly — A daily candy-dispensing puzzle game I built from scratch. Think Wordle, but you rank 5 items in order. You get 3 chances to get the order right, and if you win, a real candy machine physically dispenses candy — the game talks to a Raspberry Pi over the network which triggers a motor. Built with Flask, PostgreSQL, and vanilla JS.

All of my time goes to a crazy Husky-German Shepherd dog, but I love her!
Whenever I do have free time I love to draw and play games of any kind--this includes, but is not limited to, board games, D&D, mini-puzzles, and video games.
First, you need to be a registered user in my database. If you're not and you want to be, then send me an email saying you want to be added!
I'll add you to my database and give you a username to login to Orderly.
Here's a video to a demo of Orderly!

I have a Linux and Windows machine. For personal projects, I use Visual Studio Code as my code editor, Procreate on the iPad for digital illustrations, and I use PostgreSQL for database needs.
As of now, I'm not open to collaborations. Eventually, I would love to do collaborations on coding projects and creative projects.
I'd love to hear from you! Whether it's a question, a collab idea, or just to say hello — my inbox is always open.
✉️ Send me an emailI try to respond within a day or two!
I'm working on another little project that I can't wait to share! Check back soon — it's going to be fun.
